Communication Studies Minor

For full course descriptions, use the online Academic Calendar.

The seven required courses for the Communication Studies minor will ground students in the core theoretical components of the discipline and the optional courses will allow students to tailor the minor to suit their interests. Students will be able to supplement their discipline studies with stronger written, analytic, and verbal communication skills, as they prepare to launch their careers following graduation. The skills learned are transferable both personally and professionally. Students will have the opportunity to make better sense of the world around them in regard to how they use technology, communicate with others, and respond to the media and cultural products they are exposed to daily. This minor is not available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Communication.
