UFest 2016 w/ special guests Mother Mother - September 9, 12 to 6 p.m.

UFest marked the start of #30DaysOfBlue. A total of ten events over 30 days help you find the right hue of blue for you.

Vancouver quintet Mother Mother headlined this year’s event, and delivered melting vocal harmonies, angular guitar lines and infectious rhythms. This three-time JUNO-nominated indie rock band were undoubtedly birds of a new sonic evolution.

2017 sees the release of Mother Mother’s sixth album, following the highly successful and critically acclaimed Very Good Bad Thing, with such hits as "Get Out The Way" and "Monkey Tree."

Colour-U-Blue (er) — Sept. 17, 9:30 a.m.

Also part of #30DaysOfBlue, you’re going to get messy in a good way at Colour-U-Blue,  a popular first-semester event that gives you the chance to go blue crazy in Calgary’s original colour run where the only thing that matters is having fun (NOT speed!).

Run, walk or wheel a fun 4.5 km route while getting blasted with blue chalk bombs.

Enjoy free food trucks after the event and join the kickoff of the MRU Cougars’ season with women’s soccer at 11 a.m. at the Mount Royal field.
