MS Excel, Level 1

iscover spreadsheets and create, edit, save and print in Excel. Enter information, freeze and split panes, and move within/between worksheets. Practise entering data, creating formulas, formatting, using references, cut/copy/paste and AutoFill. Creating/editing charts and using Excel as a database are also introduced. Skills covered are transferable to all versions of MS Excel.
Course materials: approx. $37+GST at the BookStore.

Explore a variety of Excel’s built-in statistical and other functions. Creating, editing, and printing charts and graphics and also using a spreadsheet as a database to organize, sort and filter data are covered. In addition, use Sparklines, templates, tables and custom cell formats to visually present your data. Skills are transferable to most versions of MS Excel.

Explore the creation of templates and sharing of workbooks including linking and pivot tables. Analysis tools including Goal Seek, Solver, Scenarios and auditing a worksheet, as well as macros and filtering data, are covered. Skills are transferable to all versions of MS Excel.
