This course introuduces you to the art and science of true aromatherapy.  A brief overview of the field, some basic theory and terminology provide a backdrop to exploring 12 essential oils and how to use them.

Ayurveda: Basic Principles and Practices
(with Dalia Yanai and C. Scott Ryan of Golden Lotus Ayurveda)
Be introduced to the basic principles and practices of Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old medical tradition from India. Ayurveda uses basic universal principles which, once understood and implemented, bring about a balanced state of body, mind and consciousness. Health is not simply an absence of disease, but a balanced functioning of all bodily processes. Gain a clear understanding of your own constitution and the tools to empower you in all relationships in your life.

Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymphatic Drainage: Basics
Manual Lymphatic Drainage facilitates healing by stimulating lymph flow and drainage. Through a pumping and stretching effect, lymph flows faster and stimulates the formation of new connections between lymph vessels. Scientific investigation in Europe has made this the most researched massage therapy technique. MLD can treat post-mastectomy lymphedema, migraines, sports injuries, scar tissue, acne, post-operative pain, plastic surgery and arthritis.
Note: This course has been developed for licensed or certified health care practitioners.

Healing Touch, Level 1
Explore chakras and energy fields, meditation and touch, basic healing touch sequences, magnetic passes and magnetic clearing. Discuss intervention techniques to help with specific physical and emotional issues, as well as legal aspects of touch therapies.

The MBSR approach was developed Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, world renowned for his research at the University of Massachusetts and his best selling books. This approach to stress reduction teaches you to develop a capacity for mindfulness through meditation and gentle stretching. You will increase your capacity for deep relaxation, become fully awake in every moment of life. You will also acquire skills to access powerful inner resources to help you meet life challenges, and lessen the impact of stress on your mind and body.
