**CAPPA Program Completion Requirement – CHANGE – From 5 years to 3 years**

Students enrolling in the CAPPA Certificate Program for course commencement as of July 1, 2017 onwards (the 2017-2018 academic year), will be required to complete the CAPPA Program (currently 5 courses) within three (3) years.  This applies to all students regardless of Institution or method of course delivery.

Extensions may be requested in writing, via your Education Institution (which will be forwarded to CAPPA), for a six (6) month extension for extenuating reasons.  Extensions must be requested separately, however, a maximum of 2 six (6) months extensions will be granted.  Students should not rely on an extension being granted.

Students enrolled in the program prior to July 1, 2017 will continue to have a five (5) year deadline for completion.  Students grandfathered with a 5 year completion timeline may apply for a six (6) month extension for extenuating reasons.  One six (6) month extension only may be granted.
