Han is a pianist and composer based in Calgary. His work in music has included solo and collaborative performances and an output of original compositions. In his fifteenth year of teaching, Han's students have been successful locally and regionally. He is also an accompanist and festival adjudicator.

Han's repertoire includes such major works as Bach's Goldberg Variations, Beethoven's Op. 53 and 57 Sonatas, Prokofiev's Piano Sonata No. 6, and Ligeti's Musica Ricercata. His recent performances have included two concerts with the Symphony of the Kootenays as a soloist playing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 1, a concert with Timepoint Ensemble, and a solo recital of music from medieval to modern eras. He participated in the national CMC Stepping Stone competition, the CMC Finals as both a pianist and a harpsichordist, and the RBC Concerto Competition with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

For Canada's 150th, Han was one of eight composers commissioned by ARMTA to write student pieces based on Canadian folk songs, with the works published by Palliser. His Adagio/Allegro/ Piano/Bassoon was played at the ARMTA Composer Showcase, and his Ballad Concerto for Cello and Piano has been heard in Toronto and Calgary. He has written numerous solo works, including short pieces and a sonata for piano, and Burst (for accordion), heard in a concert at the University of Calgary. He recently worked with students at Dodge Film School of Chapman University, providing music for a short film. His latest work includes a commissioned piece for the Netherlands-based clarinet duo The K�ffner Gals.

Han received a Bachelor of Music in piano performance and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Calgary, and Licentiate and Associate piano diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music. His teachers included pianists Peter Turner and Vladimir Levtov and composer Allan Gordon Bell. Calgary has been his home since 1993.
