Action, adventure, and a lot of comedy await you in Mini Movie & Comic Lab! Campers become storytellers, directors, and digital artists all in one. Working in small film crews, young creators will dream up their own characters and adventures, then bring them to life through stop-motion animation and a digital comic book.
Along the way, they’ll learn to plan stories and work collaboratively. They will participate in both the production and post-production process by using professional equipment to shoot and edit their movies. This hands-on experience builds crucial skills, including creativity and imagination, sequential storytelling and communication, and technology, media literacy, and STEAM-based skills.
Campers will leave with a one-of-a-kind short film and comic, plus new creative confidence that lasts long after the credits roll! Final movies will be presented at the end of the week and archived on our digital theatre for future viewing and sharing.
