Free pediatric massage therapy appointments available
The MRU Massage Therapy program is looking for volunteer participants aged newborn to 14 years old. Appointments are available on March 10 (12:30 - 2 p.m.; 3 - 4:30 p.m.); and March 13 and 14 (10:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.).

To book, email rsteele@mtroyal.ca with the prefered date, time, number of children and age. You can request more than one date. Details on mandatory COVID-19 safety protocols will be provided in an email confirmation.

New session of the Alberta Inclusive Innovation Initiative (AI3)
The Diversity Institute at Ryerson University and Mount Royal University are proud to announce the latest instalment of the Alberta Inclusive Innovation Initiative (AI3), a series of no-cost workshops on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.

Supported by HSBC Bank Canada, the five workshops are designed for diverse groups including women, newcomers, Black and Indigenous peoples, and youth. Participants will attend weekly online workshops and have access to instructors outside of class time for additional support.

The workshop series begins March 3 and runs through March 31. Participants require an internet connection and a device capable of running Google Meet to take part.

Take in a session on cannabis workforce training 

Members of Mount Royal University’s Cannabis Education Program — instructors, students, members of the industry advisory panel — took part in a recent Cannabis Forward online event. In addition to individual and panel discussions about the future of cannabis education for workforce development, there were interactive breakout rooms. If you missed it, you can take in a recording of the event

The MRU Student Practicum Clinic is booking appointments for massages. The $20 fee for our one-hour massage therapy appointments goes towards student scholarships. Visit the clinic website to learn more and book your appointment.
