Evening rates are applicable Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Weekend rates are applicable on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday and statutory holidays have complimentary parking.
Parking payment for the maximum daytime rate expires at 11 p.m.

PAY STATIONS
Mount Royal University also has six pay stations. All pay stations accept coins, Visa or Mastercard. You do not need a HotSpot account to make coin or credit card payments.
View the interactive parking map below to easily locate the most convenient stations. Pay stations are located at the following locations:
- Lot 6A - East entrance of the Riddell Library and Learning Centre
- Taylor Centre for the Performing Arts - inside the Bella Concert Hall
- Lot 7 - in front of the Mount Royal Conservatory entrance
- East Gate Parkade - inside the P2 elevator lobby
- Lot A
- West Gate entrance
- Accessible pay station available
- Recreation entrance
- Accessible pay station available
30 minute complimentary parking is an option on all pay stations. Your vehicle license plate must be registered for valid parking. You don't need to display the parking receipt in your vehicle. The integrated parking system sends your license plate number and parking information to our parking enforcement officers.
How do the pay stations work?
Pay stations are easy to use:
- Park your vehicle in a Mount Royal University parking lot.
- Visit the nearest pay station and follow the prompts:
- Select or enter the zone number for the parking lot
- Enter your license plate number
- Select the amount of time you'd like to park
- Pay with your credit card, or coins (no change is provided)
- Your license plate number is proof of payment. No need to display the receipt on your dashboard.
- You're on your way!

Download the HotSpot app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Follow the prompts to set up your own personal account.

Add money to your virtual HotSpot wallet.

Enter the zone number indicated on signs in the parking lot or in the chart above.

Select how much time you will be parked for. If you select a time longer than 5 hour, your parking sessions will automatically be set to expire at the end of the day.

Parking payments will be automatically deducted from your HotSpot virtual wallet.
- Optional: When returning to your vehicle, you can select ‘Refund Session.' This will refund any remaining money back to your HotSpot wallet balance for unused parking time. This can only be done through a HotSpot account, and does not apply to QR Code payments or pay station parking sessions.
It is recommended that you set up a HotSpot account prior to arriving on campus.

PURCHASE A PERMIT
Parking permits are available for purchase through HotSpot or in person at Parking & Transportation Services. For more information about purchasing permits, view Parking Permits.
REFUND POLICY
No hourly or daily parking fee will be refunded except for the following criteria:
- Double payments on the same license plate within a 10-minute period
- Class cancellations by the Registrar Office - must provide proof of cancellations within 1 hour of the class cancellation
Customers who are requesting a refund must provide the following information:
- Valid identification or ONECard
- Proof of payment
- Payment card used
The Director of Business and Retail Services or the Parking Manager may issue refunds via payment cards at their discretion.
