MRU Camps

Fill your week with action, adventure, and a lot of comedy with Film Camp in A Box. Mentored by master filmmakers, campers will engage in hands-on exploration of the stop-motion animation process, becoming directors and digital artists all in one.

Working in small film crews, young creators will gain practical, hands-on experience in the entire filmmaking pipeline: pre-production, production, and post-production. Campers will then use professional techniques to write their own scripts, animate, shoot, and edit their short films and movie trailers, building crucial skills in sequential storytelling, teamwork, and technology.

By the end of the week, campers will have their very own original stop-motion short film and an action-packed movie trailer. Their work will be showcased on Friday and securely archived on our digital theatre for sharing with family and friends. This is the perfect camp for inspiring imaginative future filmmakers!

Note: Student project access details will be shared with families at the end of camp. Showcase is only viewed for campers and is not open to the public.
