Creating a login ID and PIN

This guide will help you create a login ID and PIN, which you need to register online for Continuing Education and the Conservatory. Look for the bold words for direction on where to click/navigate.   1. Go to our Admissions Login — New User page.
  2. Type a login ID (user name) for your myMRU account by entering it into the Create a Login ID field.

  3. Enter a 6-digit number in the Create a PIN field. Re-enter it in the Verify PIN field.
    IMPORTANT: Remember your login ID and PIN. You will need them later to activate your account.

  4. Click Login.

  5. Double-check your Student Type. Both Continuing Education and Conservatory students should select Continuing Education. Click Continue.

  6. In the Application Type dropdown, select Create Cont Ed ID & Register.  This also applies to those registering for the Conservatory.

  7. Click Continue.

NOTE: Once you have landed on the Apply for Admission page, you will see text that states "You may apply for: Fall [YYYY] Credit (Sept. - Dec.) and Spring [YYYY] Credit (May - Jun.)." This is an error and may be ignored.

  1. Select the appropriate Admission Term. In the case of Conservatory students, it's okay if the terms don't line up exactly.

  2. Fill in your full legal name in the First Name, Middle Name and Last Name fields.

  3. Click Fill Out Application.

You are now at the Application Checklist. You must fill out all the items on the checklist before you can complete creating your account (referred to on this page as completing your application).

  1. Click Name on the checklist.

  2. IF APPLICABLE, enter your former last name in the Former Last Name field.

  3. OPTIONAL: If you wish to be referred to by staff/faculty and on correspondence by a name other than your legal first name, enter that name in the Preferred First Name field.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. Enter your address (including your street address, postal code/zip code, city, country and phone number) in the indicated fields.

  6. Click Continue.

  7. OPTIONAL: Enter your business phone number in the Phone number field.

  8. Click Continue.

  9. Enter your personal information (including email, gender, date of birth and citizenship status) in the indicated fields.

  10. Click Continue.

  11. OPTIONAL: Fill out the Additional Information checklist and let us know how you found out about Mount Royal University.

  12. Click Continue.

  13. Click Application is Complete

    You’ll know your account is being created when you see text that reads “Creating registration access … Please wait” and a progress bar.

  14. IMPORTANT: Write down your Student ID number. You’ll need it to register and to log into MRU websites and tools.

You’ve successfully created an ID and PIN. In order to register, you must activate your account. You will need to wait an hour before you can do so. If you would like more information on activating your account, review our guide to activating your account.
