Carol Hiltermann memorial bursary

Carol Hiltermann was a long-time advocate for students during her 30 years on campus as a Mount Royal employee. From 1983 to 2013 she worked in the Registrar's Office, the Conservatory, Chemical and Biological Sciences, Geography and Planning, and Computer Science. She loved assisting and encouraging students as they navigated their way through their academic journeys. She was recognized by students in Computer Science with a nomination for her Distinguished Support Staff Service award - which she subsequently won. Carol was also passionate about her family, walking, and her garden. She loved having coffee and visiting with friends, singing in the church choir and knitting charity dolls with the ladies at church. She was kind, compassionate, and helpful to everyone she met. The Carol Hiltermann Memorial Bursary will be established to commemorate the impact she has had on those around her, and is supported by friends and family.
