The Mount Royal community has always been filled with friends, innovators and mentors whose impacts reach beyond their lifetimes. Through memorial endowment scholarships and bursaries we honour those loved ones and continue their legacy indefinitely.

Scholarships and bursaries remove financial barriers for students so they can pursue their education and strive for their goals within and beyond post-secondary.

In 1998 the Dr. John H. Garden Memorial Park was established in honour of Rev. Dr. Garden (1889 - 1969) to celebrate the memories of those honoured through memorial endowment awards at Mount Royal. Now each August the garden hosts In Memoriam, Mount Royal's annual ceremony to commemorate new inductees. Here MRU’s community gathers for celebration, quiet contemplation and an opportunity to reflect on those who will forever make a difference in the lives of Mount Royal students
Our online directory of memorial endowments features biographies provided by loved ones to commemorate the incredible individuals that inspired our memorial awards.
