Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma on the Tsuut'ina Nation
Mount Royal University is pleased to offer the Personal Fitness Trainer diploma program on the Tsuut'ina Nation. All coursework will take place in the new state-of-the-art Seven Chiefs Sportsplex & Chief Jim Starlight Centre.
This is a full-time, two-year program that combines theoretical courses with valuable practicum experiences. Students will study current health and wellness issues in the Indigenous population, with an emphasis on chronic illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease. Practical and experiential learning opportunities will help students serve the needs of the members of their community. You will train to the highest national standard and be eligible for the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology - Certified Personal Trainer certification upon completion of the program.

Personal Fitness Trainer diploma applicants are not required to meet the General Admission Requirements for Mount Royal University programs. There are no required courses for admission to this program.

Official Transcripts from all high school and post-secondary institution(s) you have attended are required. Final/official transcripts are transcripts which are sent directly to Mount Royal University from the issuing institution.
All transcripts become the property of Mount Royal University and will not be returned nor photocopied for the student.

Course Schedule and Information

Students admitted to the diploma will participate in a full-day orientation event to celebrate the commencement of the program.
