Alumni program assistance fund

Alumni are one of our greatest assets, and the Office of Alumni Relations is here to help you tap into that potential. Through the Alumni Program Assistance Fund, you can apply for financial and collaborative support to bring your alumni-focused initiatives to life.

Since January 2023, this fund has successfully reconnected over 300 alumni with MRU through impactful events and programs. Whether you’re planning a dynamic speaker series, hands-on workshops or powerful networking events, we're ready to help you strengthen alumni ties, enhance the student experience, and elevate your program’s impact.

WHAT INITIATIVES QUALIFY?

✅ Alumni are the primary audience

✅ Priority goes to initiatives that can engage a larger number of alumni in various roles

✅ Extra consideration goes to initiatives that reach a diverse range of alumni

WHAT INITIATIVES DON'T QUALIFY?

⛔ Alumni aren't the primary audience

⛔ Student-only or student club initiatives

⛔ Applications for an alum-led initiative require a faculty or staff member as the lead or co-lead

⛔ Initiatives that don't align with university policies

Any funds you receive through the Program Assistance Fund must be used directly for alumni engagement. Funds may not be used for bursaries or scholarships, sponsorship, internal or operational costs or personal benefit (i.e. conference fees, travel, or professional development).
