Celebrating 55 Years of Excellence in Aviation at Mount Royal University

Since its inception in 1970, Mount Royal University’s Aviation Diploma program has been a launchpad for aspiring pilots, setting a benchmark for excellence in aviation education. From the very first graduating class, this program has cultivated a legacy of skill, leadership, and professionalism, earning recognition as one of the most respected aviation training programs in the industry. With its rigorous standards, cutting-edge training methodologies, and prestigious accreditations, the program has shaped many exceptional pilots who have gone on to lead the industry as Captains, instructors, and aviation pioneers.

Yet, beyond the numbers, it is the personal journeys that truly define the program’s impact. From the thrill of a first solo flight to commanding aircraft across the globe, Mount Royal-trained pilots have embodied resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. They have not only pushed the boundaries of what’s possible but have also left an indelible mark on aviation history.

As we approach the 55th anniversary of flight instruction at Mount Royal in early 2025, we invite you to be part of something enduring. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to establish an endowed scholarship that will provide lasting support for future aviators. This initiative will ensure that the next generation of pilots has the opportunity to pursue their dreams and uphold the proud tradition of excellence that defines our program.

The inaugural 55th Aviation Anniversary Scholarship will be awarded in Fall 2026 to a student who exemplifies outstanding character and leadership within the program. By coming together as a community, we can propel the future of aviation forward—one pilot at a time.

Join us in shaping the next chapter of Mount Royal’s aviation legacy. Together, let’s keep the momentum soaring.
