Journalism spotlight lecture

Mount Royal University's Annual Journalism Spotlight Lecture focuses our attention on timely issues in journalism and current events. It's a chance to take stock of the perils and possibilities of the news media. The talk highlights stories and perspectives from prominent journalists about issues ranging from misinformation and propaganda to the state of journalism and democracy. In a time of declining trust in the news, the Spotlight Lecture highlights the crucial trusted role of journalists. The thought-provoking public lecture, followed by a lively question-and-answer session, also offers a public space for attendees to engage in a conversation about the state of modern journalism.
