Mount Royal University appointments
Van Ham to Vice-President, Finance and Administration, and Nixon to Solicitor
Annalise Van Ham will become vice-president, Finance and Administration at Mount Royal University on Jan. 1, 2018. Since joining Mount Royal in 2003 as a business analyst, she has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, serving as the associate vice-president, Financial Services and Risk Management since 2012. For 13 years, Annalise held financial and leadership roles with school boards, education councils and government in the Northwest Territories. She also worked at the Calgary Zoological Society and Shell Canada. Annalise holds a Certified Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CGA).
Amy Nixon has been appointed Mount Royal University's solicitor, leading the Legal Services Team, effective Dec. 1, 2017. She brings 11 years of legal experience to the role, and since 2011 has served as legal counsel, senior legal counsel and chief of staff to the president at Mount Royal. Prior, Amy was a litigator and prosecutor for the City of Calgary for five years. She holds bachelor’s degrees in kinesiology and arts, along with an LLB, all from the University of Calgary.
