First year career tasks
"How do you know what type of work you want if you don't know what's out there?"
This conundrum is the core question many students struggle with early in their academic experience when attempting to link classroom experiences to specific work alternatives. This presentation helps first year students identify what they can do to explore program related work while at school and clarify career direction, potentially increasing immediate skill building opportunities and future employment opportunities. Students will consider ways to gain experience and leverage assignments and college activities to advance their career before they graduate and maybe even before they know exactly what that career might be!
