The first few days in a much anticipated career-related job can be stressful as well as exciting. For many students and graduates, the change from a structured environment with a semester by semester agenda to one that may be changing day to day can be intimidating. While most new employees anticipate the challenge of learning about projects and priorities, few are prepared for the unexpected and time consuming obstacles such as how to find basic facilities or get postage on a letter.
