Description: This position reports to the Director, Communications and performs administrative functions under general direction in policy and decision-making matters through proactive problem solving, administrative liaison and effective financial management. This position relieves the director of many administrative details, develops and revises own routines and department routines and independently carries out work to completion. The position requires a high degree of independence and responsibility, discretion, written and oral communication skills, and organization. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for facilitating communications on the director’s behalf and general office management.
 
Duties: • Maintain the Director of Communication’s calendar, including meeting rooms, food service requests and organizing travel arrangements
• Organize CMS training (web)
• Back up for Marketing Assistant
• Record and produce minutes and other correspondences, as required
• Reception break coverage
• Communications budget support
• Other administrative duties as requested
 
Qualifications: • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power-Point, Lotus Notes, Internet)
• Excellent organizational/multi-tasking/prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
• Research experience
• 3 years’ previous administrative assistant experience
• Attention to accuracy and detail with the ability to be proactive
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Exercises tact, discretion and diplomacy
 
Salary: $1,582.83 semi-monthly
