Qiongda Zhao, PhD, Assistant Professor

Qiongda Zhao is an Assistant Professor in Economics for the Department of Economics, Justice, and Policy Studies at Mount Royal University. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Calgary in 2021. Her research interests mainly focus on public economics, labor economics, and health economics. As an applied microeconomist, she uses quasi-experimental methods combined with large administrative data to estimate the causal impact of government transfer programs on individual behavior, with a particular focus on the distributional effects of various government policies.
