Education: Shawn started his post-secondary education at Grande Prairie Regional College and transferred to the University of Alberta completing his Commerce degree (majoring in marketing) along with an after degree in Secondary Education. Shawn holds a permanent Professional Teaching Certificate with Alberta Education.

After several years working as a high school teacher Shawn pursued a Master's of Science in Physical Education specializing in Sport Psychology at the University of Idaho. His Master's Thesis was on the Impact of Cognitive Learning Style Based Routines on Men's Collegiate Volleyball Serving Performance.

Current Work: Shawn is an Assistant Professor in Health and Physical Education primarily teaching Sport and Exercise Psychology.

Shawn is also the Men's Volleyball Coach at Mount Royal. He has over 20 years of coaching experience and is a Level 3 NCCP certified coach (National Coaching Certification Program).
