Kurc Martell began studying Speech Arts at the age of ten. Under the tutelage of Dr. Leona Paterson, he completed his Associate degrees with Mount Royal College, the Royal Conservatory of Music and Trinity College in 1983 and 1984. In 1996, he completed his Licentiate degree with Trinity College. In addition, he has a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Calgary. Kurc has been teaching at the Conservatory since 1996.
