Tempo's Steel Pan Class


The Steelpan originated in Trinidad and Tobago.  The only percussion instrument invented in the 20th century, the Steelpan has a colorful history and mesmerizes crowds worldwide. It can be used to perform a variety of musical genres such as Classical, Pop, R&B, Calypso, Soca and Reggae music.

Beginner Steel Pan Class

This 15-week program is ideal for musical beginners. 

These interactive steel pan classes, include learning basic fundamentals to playing the steel pan instrument as well as learning beginners music theory in a group setting.

Classes are taught and rehearsed with the actual instrument, provided in class.

Intermediate Steel Pan Class

This 15-week program is available to students that have completed the beginner's class or have played in another steel band or played another percussion instrument.  

The goal is to increase the amount and difficulty of repertoire and prepare for performances. 

Permission by the instructor is required for this class.


Classes are taught and rehearsed with the actual instrument, provided in class.
