What our students can do for you

Students in the Public Relations program are given an overview of the field of public relations, and diverse environments in which practitioners work. Students learn the history and role of public relations in different organizational settings, and key components of the public relations process from both a theoretical and practical point of view. When undertaking a work experience term, public relations students are capable of assisting with marketing and the development of a range of communications options. Media relations, public relations research,  communication planning, and event management are only some of the responsibilities public relations students are expected to handle. Students in this specialization are interested in gaining knowledge in these and other areas, so they may eventually be employed in the corporate, agency, government and non-profit sectors of industry. Our students value the opportunities you provide for their learning experience.
