Academic Support

Shared success

When you’re successful, we’re successful. Mount Royal measures its success by the accomplishments of our students. That is why we offer a variety of programs and resources to help ensure you reach the goals you’ve set for yourself.

Academic Calendar

Mount Royal's academic calendar is a complete guide to our courses, programs, admission requirements, student services and student life. The Calendar provides official information about fees, courses, programs, related policies and regulations, as well as general information about Mount Royal.

You may purchase a print copy of the calendar at the Mount Royal BookStore.

Academic Advising Services Our academic advisors are available to help you with course selection, program planning, and educational goal setting. Many programs have faculty advisors and our central office is available to help all students looking to change programs at Mount Royal.
Career Services Our Career Development team will work with you individually to help you clarify how your academic courses can lead to future careers and jobs! Our Work Experience and Co-operative Education Coordinators assist you in preparing for and finding work term opportunities specific to your program of study.
Accessibility Services We partner with you, our students, and with Mount Royal faculty and staff to coordinate accommodations and provide services, while encouraging student development.
Student Learning Services With our Writing and Learning Consultants, Peer Tutoring, and Accessibility Services we facilitate excellence in teaching and learning. We also have workshops to help you, such as time management skills, test-taking, note-taking, textbook reading, and writing skills.
New Student Orientation Our new student orientation program helps you to make the transition into post-secondary. With events for new students (Welcome Days, Services Fair, Mature Student event) and online resources to aid you, we hope to assist in your educational journey.
Student Counselling Services Our student counsellors are available to assist you with identifying and achieving your realistic academic, career, educational and personal goals. Counsellors provide crisis intervention, personal, career, and educational counselling, and a variety of workshops.
Student Registration and Records The Registrar's Office serves as the nucleus for academic information and records that support your academics at Mount Royal. Our services and areas of responsibility include credit (and continuing education) registration, fees, confirmation of enrolment, exam deferrals, student academic records, official transcripts, critical dates, and graduation.
Campus Services The services listed above are only a small part of the complete listing of services and supports available to help. You will find a complete listing of all campus services and supports on our A-Z services listing page, or on the Campus Services tab.
