The two-year Social Work Diploma program gives you the theory and practice you need to make an impact in the lives of those at risk. With practicum opportunities in Calgary and abroad, you will work with diverse groups, equipping you for a rewarding career in a challenging field. Graduates are also eligible to become a registered social worker through the Alberta College of Social Workers.

Career choices
Graduates may be employed in a range of government, nonprofit and private agencies. The demand for graduates is high and continues to grow. In Alberta, the job market for social workers is expected to increase by 3% to 4% a year. Your job title could be:
Further education
Graduates may also pursue a Bachelor of Social Work at many universities across Canada, including the University of Calgary, the University of British Columbia, Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops and the University of Regina. Some universities in Australia also offer Bachelor of Social Work degree completion for Mount Royal diploma graduates.
