Qanita became interested in financial analysis after observing the stock market crash in March of 2020. After exploring the relationship between the pandemic news and the economy, she was intrigued and wanted to learn more about the fascinating highs and lows of the financial world. She joined the Student Investment Fund to develop a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and the consumer staples sector, and enjoys planning social events for the fund. Qanita is also involved in the Peer Learning Program where she continuously applies her knowledge of business statistics and accounting to help guide other students in their journey to academic excellence in these courses. She also competes in case competitions; her team placed 4th in the CPA Business Challenge, and 2nd in the MRU Supply Chain Case Competition. Outside of university, Qanita enjoys embroidering, hiking, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.
