Program-specific admission requirements

You can apply for the Fall and Winter semesters by filling out the Mount Royal Application for Admission form, indicating you are applying for the Bridge to Canadian Nursing program.

You must meet eligibility requirements for licensing as a registered nurse in Alberta and:

  • Providing a letter from the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) indicating your eligibility for registration/licensure in Alberta and identifying specific course work that is required.
  • Having a sufficient level of English fluency. The English as an additional language level for entry into this program has been set using the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).

Admission decisions for the program are made by the department of Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN) Programs, School of Nursing.

Admissions to the program in each of the Fall and Winter semesters occur at the two Alberta sites.

Program Costs

Total costs for studying in the BCN program will be influenced by your personal circumstances. Here are some costs that are specific to the BCN program.

Tuition:
Students in the BCN program will be assessed tuition at Canadian student rates effective May 1, 2009. Total tuition and fees are determined by the number of courses taken in an academic semester. For more specific information on actual tuition costs, please contact the BCN program Advisor at:
