The Human-Centered Sustainable Tourism in Alberta trio worked to broaden their collective understanding of sustainable tourism and policy tools. They focused on showcasing the tangible ways to create an industry that benefits Albertans, while supporting a healthy environment, and were passionate about ensuring that community can see themselves in the project. Their hope was to create tangible, user-friendly, and community informed resources to support policy development and engagement for a more sustainable tourism sector.

The report below is a review of the All-Season Resorts Policy which highlights some of the gaps and opportunities we found throughout our journey. It uses community resources and voices, international examples, and our personal experiences to explore the policy as well as its impacts on Albertans. We hope the following document can be used to inform future All-Season Resort projects, research, and policy adjustments.
