Brad Rennie teaches a variety of courses in several areas, including Canadian and European history, the history of World War Two, Canadian and European art history, Canadian studies (comparing Canada and the U.S.), and a humanities course on J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. His classes incorporate different teaching methods to help students learn and keep them engaged.
