While you may be invested in your student's education, we are not able to share personal records to anyone other than the student themselves. To protect the privacy of  Mount Royal students' personal records and information, our staff and faculty are required to follow the Alberta Protection and Privacy Act (the "POPA"). The POPA controls how the University may collect, use and disclose personal information.

Mount Royal staff cannot release the following information:

  • application or admission status
  • transcripts, grades or records
  • personal contact information
  • course selection or schedule
  • amount of fees owing

You will not be informed if they are missing class or doing poorly on exams. The best way to find out about your student's academic success at Mount Royal is to discuss their application or academic status with them.

If they would like you to have access to their student records, your student may complete and sign the release of information form available at the Office of the Registrar.

Visit the Mount Royal Access and Privacy or the Alberta Government POPA webpages for more information.
