Dr. Ran Ju earned her Ph.D. from the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University and holds Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS). Her research interest lies in public relations for the public good, exploring how strategic communication can promote societal well-being and contribute to positive social change. Her research covers topics such as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) communication, organizational mental health promotion, and public relations for social inclusion.

Dr. Ju has received multiple research grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). She has published in a range of peer-reviewed journals, including Public Relations Review, Health Communication, the International Journal of Communication, and the Journal of Public Relations Education. She has presented her work at both domestic and international conferences, earning several top paper awards for her contributions.

Dr. Ju is the Communication Section Editor for Sage Open and serves on the editorial board of Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (Nature). She chairs the Research Committee of the Association for Chinese Communication Studies and is an active member of both the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and the National Communication Association (NCA).
