Are you registered for MRU classes in the Fall 2020 semester?

Sign up for our new webinar series: What to Expect in Fall 2020

What to Expect in Fall 2020 is a series of three webinars (live online workshops) designed to help you prepare for your time at MRU. The webinars are free and will provide you with 1) opportunities to connect with other international students and key support staff members, and 2) important information to help you succeed as a Mount Royal student.

Each webinar is 60-75 minutes long and will be offered three times over the summer months:

1) Welcome to Canada!

In this webinar, we hope to grow your excitement about coming to MRU by highlighting the supports available to you, letting you hear from other international students and showing you some of the beauty Alberta has to offer.

Choose one of these dates: June 23, July 14, August 18

2) Succeeding in Online Classes

In this webinar, we will discuss how to stay motivated and focused in an online class. We will also explore how to stay connected with your instructors and classmates.

Choose one of these dates: June 24, July 15, August 19

3) Academic Expectations

Are you wondering what types of assignments you will complete as a Mount Royal student? In this webinar, we will introduce common types of writing and presentation assignments and discuss academic expectations. We will also spend some time exploring the concept of academic integrity.

Choose one of these dates: June 25, July 16, August 20

It’s best to register for all three webinars in the same week so that you can develop stronger connections with the other students in the group. The groups will likely be small, so there will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and have discussions.
