Hi, my name is Dave Kerr and I am a Biogeographer. What is that ? Well it is about ecology, classification, space and time but only over 4.6 billion years!

Environmental consulting has been my main career, covering the assessment of large and small development projects within Canada as well as in South America and SE Asia. Biogeography has helped me look at and study landscapes: the way they have developed over time, the processes that shape the plants and animals that make their homes on different parts of the landscape and the people who must now balance resource use with environmental and social stewardship - for not only their own generation but for generations to come.
