Institutional Surveys

Canadian University Survey Consortium (CUSC)

Student ExperienceCUSC has investigated student experiences and satisfaction since 1994 in order to gain a better understanding of the Canadian undergraduate student population. Prior to 2010, Mount Royal was a shadow participant. Since becoming a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) in Fall 2010, MRU is now integrated into the aggregated CUSC data pool.

The purpose of the survey is to measure student characteristics, experiences, perceptions, and satisfaction, targeting a sub-sample of the undergraduate student population on a three-year alternating cycle:

  • Middle Years (formerly All Undergraduates)
  • First-year undergraduate students
  • Graduating students

The results provide MRU an opportunity to assess how it is regarded by its own students and to compare itself to aggregate results of participating universities with similar enrolment characteristics.
