Become a Student Success Volunteer

Student Success Volunteers provide a warm welcome to the Office of Student Success for all visitors, including students, staff, faculty, parents and anyone else who happens to walk through the door. To be successful in this role, you must be familiar with campus resources, services and tools and provide warm referrals.

Tasks include volunteering for 2-4 hours each week at the reception desk in F101 and checking in students for Early Support appointments, including completion of the intake form.

This role will allow you to:

  • Add volunteer experience to add to your resume
  • Improve interpersonal skills, including supporting students experiencing heightened stress
  • Increase your knowledge of campus resources

Volunteer as a Registration Peer at New Student Registration Day

New Student Registration Day provides an opportunity for new Mount Royal students to connect with Academic Advising and register for first-year courses. Registration Peers provide a warm welcome to students, help them navigate MyMRU, and assist them in registering for Fall and Winter courses.

Become a New Student Orientation Leader

New Student Orientation welcomes new Mount Royal students to campus before classes begin. Orientation Leaders provide new students useful information, welcome them to campus, and help them kick off their Mount Royal journey.
