MRU Dining Plans

 

MRU is offering three dining plans that will give you access to a variety of delicious food and beverage options! The MRU Dining Plans are available to all MRU students including those living in Residence, as well as faculty and staff. Dining plans are purchased and loaded through the OneCard and will be available for use at The Table Food Hall, Tim Hortons, Jugo Juice, Barrow Coffee Roasters and Starbucks. 

 

Dining plan options

Designed for students who live in residence or spend the majority of their days on campus. The total cost of the Classic Plan is $1,600 which provides approximately $400 dining dollars per month for the full semester. 

Overview of the Classic Plan:

  • Averages out to two meals a day Monday through Friday
  • 5% tax exemption on your purchases
  • 10% discount at The Table Food Hall, Barrow Coffee and Jugo Juice

 

On-The-Go-Plan.png

 

A smaller meal plan for those who like to cook but also like the convenience of eating and socializing on campus. The On-The-Go plan is $1,000 which provides approximately $250 dining dollars per month for the full semester.

Overview of the On-The-Go Plan:

  • Averages out to one daily meal, a snack and a coffee or cold beverage Monday through Friday
  • 10% discount at The Table Food Hall, Barrow Coffee and Jugo Juice

Grabbing coffee with a colleague? Forgot your lunch? Ate breakfast and you're still hungry? Students, staff and faculty who sign up for MRU Eats can use their ONECard to access the dining plan discount at our preferred vendors. 

Overview of the MRU Eats Plan:

  • Starts at $100 
  • Add funds through the Cougars Campus Store website,Transact eAccounts app or from your ONECard Portal.
  • 10% discount at The Table Food Hall, Barrow Coffee and Jugo Juice

Who can use it

All students, faculty and staff coming to campus and those living in MRU Residence are eligible for the dining plans. 

 

How to purchase a dining plan

1. MRU Dining Plans can be purchased online through the Cougar Campus Store. 

2. Select the plan, enter your student/employee ID number and select the quantity. Click on Add to Cart.

3. Proceed to checkout.

Dining plan purchasers will receive an email in 1-3 business days from the OneCard office once the plan has been applied to their account and it will appear as an MRUeats balance in the OneCard Portal.

Alternatively, people can visit the campus store on main street to make the purchase in person.

Boost mobile ordering

 

Take advantage of Boost – a free mobile ordering app that allows you to place orders at The Table Food Hall, Starbucks and Tim Hortons for pickup at your convenience. Order meals ahead of time, schedule pickup, customize your order and pay with a credit card or your dining plan!

How to use Boost

Download the app for free from the App Store or get it on Google Play. Once you have downloaded the app, create an account and click “enable location data”. Mount Royal University may show up on your list of suggested locations but if it doesn’t, you can easily search and select it. Please note that food stations will appear with a “mobile ordering unavailable” notice on Boost if they are closed.  

Checkout on Boost to select your pickup time and complete your payment. A credit card or linked dining plan is required during checkout.

 

Link your Dining Plan and OneCard to Boost

Step 1: Find your dining plan number

- Log into the OneCard portal using your MyMRU credentials 
- Retrieve your dining plan number from the card services tab
 
Step 2:  Add your dining plan number to Boost

- Click on Account, then select Payment Methods
- Select Campus Card and click Add Campus Card
- Enter your MRU email and dining plan number (which you retrieved from the OneCard portal), then click Save BLACKBOARD

An email confirmation will be sent to your MRU email to confirm your account.
 
Step 3: Enjoy ordering on Boost with ease!

Checkout on Boost to select your pickup time and complete your payment. Your OneCard should now appear as a payment option upon checkout.

About The Table Food Hall

 

The Table Food Hall is located on the second level of main street and is the go-to food destination on campus. The Table offers a full-service dining experience with a diverse menu to keep you energized and nourished. The Table includes the following stations: Seoul Street, Chef's Table, Grill & Co, Tim Hortons Self Serve, and On-the-Go items. There are also basic groceries, baked goods and cold beverages.

The setup at The Table caters specifically to students, especially those living in Residence, with lots of seating to create a comfortable common area for get-togethers with new friends and classmates.
