Security awareness workshops
Prefer to learn from a real live human rather than online? Then a workshop is for you! All participants receive a manual and quick reference guides. All workshops are open to staff, faculty and alumni.
Your training status is stored in your training profile in our Security Education Platform. Therefore you wil have online training assigned to you. However, o nce you complete your workshop your training profile will be manually updated to show your mandatory training has been completed and your online training assignment will disappear. In addition, you will receive a notification email to confirm that you have completed your training.
Protecting yourself against cybercrime - 90 min
Are you terrified of clicking on something you shouldn't? Does the thought of coming up with an effective password fill you with dread? Are you worried about keeping your family safe online? Then you should register for Protecting yourself against cyber crime. This fascinating and informative 90 min workshop gives you all the tools you need to keep you and yours cyber safe. As an added bonus, completion of this workshop fulfills the annual mandatory cybersecurity training requirement. Please note that this workshop is intended for those who are new to MRU. If you are not new, you are still welcome to register however you may already be familiar with some of the content.

If you are not able to attend one of these workshops before your training deadline, you will have complete the training online.
