Julie-Anne has a background in Anthropology from McGill University and graduate degrees in Archaeology from the University of Calgary. She has worked on archaeological projects in North and South America, with special emphasis on ceramics and funerary practices for her PhD. At MRU, Julie-Anne is the Lab Coordinator for the anthropology teaching and research labs but also collaborates with instructors on various administrative and instructional tasks. Starting in Fall 2015, Julie-Anne also became the student advisor for both Sociology and Anthropology, working with students on academic questions such as program planning, student status, grad school applications, and course options among others.
