In June 2017, to coincide with convocation, the Faculty of Arts held an event to start new alumni chapters in History and Psychology. Our keynote speaker was the Hon. Marlin Schmidt, Alberta's Minister of Advanced Education, who spoke about the importance of improving access to post-secondary education, the qualities instilled through the liberal arts, and the importance of graduates to become community leaders. The evening was emceed by Psychology graduate Jessica Joseph. Special thanks to Professors Jarett Henderson, Tru Kwong and Shane Gannon, as well as to Sue Torres and Kim Halvorson for their leadership in organizing this event.
