Mackenzie Fraser is an Assistant Professor in the Bachelor of Child Studies program at Mount Royal University, where she teaches in the Child and Youth Care (CYC) stream. A graduate of the program herself, Mackenzie has been with the department since 2022, as contract faculty previously to her full-time academic role. With over 13 years of front-line experience supporting children, youth, and families, Mackenzie has worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, mental health services, schools, and community-based programming. Her teaching practice is grounded in real-world experience and a commitment to relational, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches.
