Charlotte joined the school in 2021 after spending 6 years working in the pipeline inspection industry as a data scientist. She teaches senior courses on data processing and machine learning, as well as intro-level programming in Python and C++.

Her primary research focus is developing tools to work with PDFs and vector graphic documents for creative applications. She is a sewing enthusiast and her current research centres on interpreting and manipulating digital sewing patterns. As a proponent of open source, she strives to create useful and accessible software for sewists and other makers while also engaging students in the open source community.
