About Qualtrics at Mount Royal
Qualtrics is a user-friendly online survey platform used to create and distribute surveys. Qualtrics supports various data collection approaches, from simple questionnaires to sophisticated social science research designs.
Mount Royal University has purchased an institutional license to Qualtrics as a cost-effective solution that all faculty, staff and active students can access for free. As a web-based tool, there is no software to install and is available to Mount Royal users anywhere, anytime.
Data collected through Mount Royal’s enterprise Qualtrics license is stored on servers in Canada.
Logging in to your Qualtrics account
To access your account, visit mtroyal.qualtrics.com and log in using your Mount Royal username and password.
Everyone with a valid @mtroyal.ca login (faculty, staff and students) can use our Qualtrics license.
Upon logging into Qualtrics, you will be assigned a limited-user Qualtrics account. The limited-user account provides access to all survey development tools. However, these accounts cannot publish and distribute surveys for security reasons.
To have your account permissions upgraded, please send a message to mrusurvey@mtroyal.ca, and someone will work with you to make survey distribution features available.
Getting started with Qualtrics
Qualtrics provides extensive online support through their main support page, where you can access various articles with step-by-step instructions for creating and distributing your survey.
With your Qualtrics account, you can also access Qualtrics Basecamp, which offers self-paced courses and free live and on-demand webinars. To access Basecamp, you must sign in with our SSO using the organization ID mtroyal.

Qualtrics support pages are the first point of contact for help with the survey tool.
Individualized help is available by contacting Qualtrics support via chat, email, or phone once logged in to your account.

Terms of use
Mount Royal’s Qualtrics license is to be used solely for academic and administrative purposes. Using your MRU Qualtrics account for non-university-related activities is prohibited.
