Student Immunization Programs
Congratulations to all new students entering into the School of Nursing & Midwifery programs.
Please read the options available to you in order to begin the immunization requirements for your program.
OPTION 1
APPOINTMENT with HEALTH SERVICES
If you choose to book an appointment with Health Services - Please call Health Services at 403 440-6326 to book a physician consult appointment for the immunization order and any blood test/x-ray requisitions. There is a fee of $65 for the consult appointment (this service is a non-insured third-party visit and not billable to Alberta Health).
Once you have seen the physician, you will be able to make an appointment with a nurse in Health Services to receive your outstanding immunizations. A $20 administration fee will be charged for each immunization, TB Skin Test & booster.
Prior to your appointment, please submit the following by email using your mtroyal email account to healthservices@mtroyal.ca :
- a copy of your BN/BCN/Midwifery/ACCN Program Immunization Record (filled out as much as possible with vaccine information found in your supporting immunization documents)
- a copy of your supporting immunization documents and any blood test results
Your documents must be received by Health Services a minimum of 72 hours ahead of your scheduled consultation appointment.
You will be given a copy of all of your immunization records, including TB Skin Test, and copies of all of your lab results to be uploaded to the Gateway Synergy portal.
OPTION 2
APPOINTMENT with YOUR FAMILY PHYSICIAN
If you choose to obtain an immunization order through your family physician, you can book an appointment with Health Services at 403 440-6326 to receive any outstanding immunizations. A $25 Nurse Assessment fee will be charged along with a $20 administration fee for each immunization, TB Skin Test, & booster.
Prior to your appointment, please submit the following by email using your mtroyal email account to healthservices@mtroyal.ca :
- a copy of your BN/BCN/Midwifery/ACCN Program Immunization Record (filled out as much as possible with vaccine information found in your supporting immunization documents).
- a copy of your supporting immunization documents and any blood test results.
- your family physician's order for the all outstanding immunizations.

You will be given a copy of your immunization records for all vaccines administered by Health Services to be uploaded to the Gateway Synergy portal.
Immunization injection fees
- Mantoux (skin test): $20
- MMR (Mumps/Measles/Rubella): $20 per vaccine
- Varicella: $20 per vaccine
- Hepatitis B: $20 per vaccine
- Boosters: $20 per booster
- DTap: $20 per vaccine
- Polio: $20 per vaccine
