Completed post doctoral externship in family therapy, University of Calgary. Holds Honours Diploma in government Administration from Seneca College, Toronto and Management Certificate from the University of Calgary.

Taught sociology courses to university transfer and social work students at Grande Prairie, Grant McEwan, St Mary's Colleges and Athabasca University. Courses include introductory sociology, social issues and problems, crime and deviance, social stratification and families. Conducted workshops for social work students at the University of Calgary. Supervised practicum students in public and private social service agencies. As a former teacher, my focus is on adult education, work place learning and cooperative education. Professional training and research interests include applied sociology, social/public policy, organizational culture, sustainable development and social justice, migration and urbanism. Papers and presentations include leadership ideologies, family preservation, challenging social issues, working in a multidisciplinary team, ethical dilemmas in the delivery of social services. Member of the Canadian Association for Development and Peace, Canadian Institute of Public Administration and Canadian Association for Anthropology and Sociology.
