Dr. Elizabeth Evans

Dr. Elizabeth Evans was appointed as Mount Royal University’s Interim Provost and Vice-President, Academic on June 11, 2020. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies for almost four years.

Prior to joining MRU in August 2016, Elizabeth held positions at Ryerson University as Associate Dean, Academic Undergraduate Programs in the Ted Rogers School of Management. She is also actively involved in advancing women in leadership with a pivotal role in the national Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub. Elizabeth was instrumental in Mount Royal University being named an Ashoka U Changemaker Campus, demonstrating Mount Royal University's dedication to social innovation and Indigenous education.

 

Anita Kemp

Anita Kemp

Anita is the Program Lead for WEKH Alberta, where she supports Mount Royal University to work with key partners throughout the province to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for the advancement of women entrepreneurs. Anita describes herself as an entrepreneur and a lifelong learner - both of which she discovered in her forties, having quit the corporate world to complete a master's degree and start a business.

 

Amanda Williams

Dr. Amanda Williams

Dr. Amanda Williams is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication Studies. She is inspired by research, teaching, and helping others become effective communicators. Her research interests include the study of entrepreneurship, metaphor and discourse, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She is also a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Canada Team and a Research Fellow for The Center for Innovation Studies (THECIS), which allows her to be part of an international research consortium dedicated to collecting entrepreneurship data directly from individual entrepreneurs.

Anna is a Research Assistant for WEKH Alberta and a third-year Business Administration student majoring in Human Resources and General Management. Self-described research nerd and passionate advocate for women in male-dominated spaces, Anna is thrilled to be a part of WEKH Alberta at MRU and their work to empower women entrepreneurs.
