Layne grew up just outside of Lethbridge, Alberta, but journeyed her way across Canada to attend Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS where she completed a BA in English and Political Science in 2014. She has worked as an Academic Advisor for close to three years, most recently at the University of Calgary as the Choosing a Major Academic Advisor. When she's not at work, you'll likely find her in the mountains (hiking, snowshoeing, or snowboarding), playing softball or volleyball, traveling, or reading.
