In-person classes are cancelled and campus is closed for the rest of the week

Wednesday, September 15 at 10:30 p.m.

We are aware the province has instituted a State of Emergency tonight and announced new COVID-19 requirements and restrictions, many of which take effect Sept. 16. We are actively working with the Ministry of Advanced Education to determine how these new rules apply to post-secondaries and to Mount Royal University in light of our previously announced protocols.

For the balance of this week, Sept. 16 to 19, in-person classes are cancelled and campus is closed. Online classes will continue as scheduled. All other on-campus student activities will pause for the remainder of the week.

Employees should work from home if they are able. Essential employees on campus must maintain physical distancing of two metres.

I recognize there are many questions with many unknowns. More information will be made available before the end of the week.
